Get answers to common questions about Ears Wax.

Most clients enjoy smooth ears for three to six weeks depending on personal hair growth and hormonal factors. Regular appointments can slow regrowth and maintain appearance. Individual results vary; our technician can recommend an optimal maintenance schedule during your visit.

Discomfort is usually minimal because the area is small and treatments are quick. We use warm wax and experienced techniques to reduce pulling. Numbing creams are rarely necessary, but we can discuss comfort options if you have low pain tolerance.

Aftercare is simple: avoid hot showers, saunas and swimming for 24 hours. Keep the area clean, avoid picking or rubbing, and apply a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer if needed. Avoid exfoliation for 48 hours to prevent irritation or sensitivity.

Many clients with mild sensitivity can be waxed using tailored products and extra care. Active eczema, psoriasis, open wounds, recent sunburn or severe dermatitis require evaluation first. We perform a consultation and patch test to determine safety before proceeding.

Ensure hair is at least a quarter-inch so the wax can grip. Avoid heavy lotions or oils on the area, and limit caffeine to reduce sensitivity. If you take blood thinners or have medical concerns, notify us when booking.

Yes. Contraindications include active ear infections, open cuts, recent piercings, severe skin conditions, recent chemical peels, or use of isotretinoin.
