Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Dermaplaning Facial.

A Dermaplaning Facial is a 60-minute treatment using a sterile scalpel to gently remove dead skin cells and vellus hair. We follow cleansing with an AHA peel, dermaplaning, ampule infusion and a nourishing mask to reveal smoother, brighter skin.

Dermaplaning is generally safe for sensitive skin when performed by a trained esthetician, but it's not recommended for active inflammatory acne, open lesions, or recent chemical peels. We will consult and patch-test to determine the proper approach and modification.

Most clients enjoy a smoother, luminous complexion for three to six weeks; maintenance sessions every four to six weeks keep skin polished. Individual results vary with skin cycle, exfoliation habits, and skincare routines.

You can wear light makeup after a Dermaplaning Facial, but we recommend waiting a few hours to allow ampule infusion and nourishing mask ingredients to absorb. Use gentle, non-irritating products and apply sunscreen before sun exposure.

For optimal results schedule treatments every four to six weeks. Regular sessions maintain smooth texture, improve product absorption, and prolong the post-treatment glow. Your esthetician will customize frequency based on skin type, goals, and any active skincare prescriptions.

Mild redness, sensitivity, or slight flaking can occur for 24 to 72 hours. Avoid direct sun, intense workouts, and exfoliating acids for several days. Use gentle cleansers, SPF, and soothing serums to support healing and maintain results.
